Photographs of our twin daughters, once a week, every week, this 2014.
Last September 24, this^ happened, and the countdown to their 2nd birthday begins.
How did we get to this point again?
It’s like I woke up one morning and suddenly, it’s been 23 months! 23 months of warm baths, ridiculous amount of diapers and milk bottles, messy house, closets bursting with too many tiny clothes, 4-hour sleeps, co-sleeping in a queen-size bed, and waking up with chubby arms and legs on your face. Twenty. Three. Months.
And then last night, after a looong work week, this^ happened. We finally managed to squeeze in a trip to Cuts for Tots to get their bangs trimmed. We had dinner at Jollibee, strolled around the mall, and did some grocery shopping. How’s that for a Friday night?
Notice in the first set of photos how unruly their bangs were? I’m too scared to cut them myself, especially since it’s their birthday soon. I don’t want them to have bangs malfunction, not on their birthday!
#LIFEWITHTWINS
Just like most twins, Dawn and Rain are like the opposite ends of a pole. Dawn loves singing (like crazy! she sings everything), tinkering on my iPhone, and flipping through books. Rain loves playing with puzzles and stuffed toys, putting on dresses and accessories, and digging in my makeup kit. Dawn is a little shy around people (at first), while Rain says hello to practically everyone she meets (even strangers!). Dawn can sit still (and read flip through books) for long periods of time, while Rain always looks for something to explore. In bed, Dawn likes squeezing herself between me and her Daddy, while Rain likes being left to herself. In the morning, Dawn wakes up earlier, while Rain often oversleeps.
I could go on and on listing down their differences—things that make each of them unique and special and wonderfully made. And I love that in spite of their very different personalities, they’re still alike in so many ways.
Happy 23 months little darlings. We love watching you both grow! Even more so, we love growing along with you. Thank you for giving us countless of reasons to thank God for every single day.
