Radiance Image Consultancy: Branding & Web Design

It’s been a while since the last time I updated my design portfolio!

The truth is, I’ve been low key in promoting my design services because I could only accommodate a few clients this year and therefore have to be very picky.

The first half of the year had me working on a few handpicked projects, and I couldn’t be more excited for them as they take their passion projects to the next level!

Two of these recent projects were for a lovely and passionate woman named Toni Miranda who reached out to me at the start of the year.

Meeting her for the first time felt like a therapy session. (This is usually the case when a client is a perfect match!) She shared to me her life story, her dreams, and why she’s doing what she’s doing; and I listened to her thinking like, well, this is exactly why I’m doing what I doing!

Helping others launch their businesses and pursue their passions is right up my alley, and having met Miss Toni was quite an affirmation.

In a strategic standpoint, I must have branded my website quite well (right, right!) to be attracting the dreamiest clients I could imagine. But in the grand scheme of things, I know it’s simply God leading me to the right people, or Him leading them to me.

I worked on two projects with her, one of which was her image consultancy biz.

Radiance Image Consultancy

A newly certified Image Consultant (by London Image Institute and Academy of Image Mastery), Toni Miranda launched Radiance Image Consultancy this year with the vision to empower individuals and professionals through full-on personal branding and transformational services.

Before meeting her I seriously didn’t know there are certifications for these things. Without being too technical, what image consultants do is a lot similar to what “personal stylists” and “personal brand strategists” do.

We do see some people offer personal branding workshops and services here and there, yeah? One of the things that make Radiance Image Consultancy different is how Miss Toni took a proper course from a highly acclaimed image institution to become a certified professional in this field. Add this up with years worth of corporate experience and several entrepreneurial pursuits, she definitely knows what she’s doing and totally equipped to do this unique job.

It goes without saying that all of her branding touch points have to reflect just that. The challenge is to make Radiance not only look and feel approachable but exude a level of professionality, authority, and excellence.

Here’s a little peek at Radiance’s collaterals and website mockup.

What I love about working with passionate women like Miss Toni is how they come to me needing my help, and leave me feeling more inspired by the time the project is over.

Next week I’ll share about her other project that I also had the pleasure of working on. Thank you again, Miss T, for the opportunity!

Here’s Radiance Image Consultancy’s website if you ever need personal branding and styling services.

Chasing Dreams, Year 7

I imagine myself blogging this as if I was not gone for almost half a year (wait what?!). You didn’t really notice it’s been that long huh? :)

Thing is, I do get asked by friends and long-time readers about the status of my relaunch every now and then, but no one really noticed this blog’s absence more than me. And fine, more than my husband. (Ladies in the house, take note, marry a guy who inspires and pushes you to launch those dreams).

Everyday that I wasn’t able to relaunch the site, there’s like a huge thought bubble above my head that just won’t go away, an unchecked item on my list I couldn’t quite ignore, and a husband who kept asking “So? Did you do it? Is it up now?”

To recap, the last time I published a post here was in March, and then I had to renew www.chasingdreams.net for the 7th year (there’s something about the 7th year of anything, huh?) back in June. That’s the time I took the website down for what I intended was just a quick redesign like I do every year, and I kinda lost track of time since then. Here we are now, 4 months later.

So before we cut the proverbial ribbon and throw imaginary confetti around the pages of this website, I thought we should talk about what just happened there. (Because you and I can learn together from this.)

Redefining the chase

The truth is, I ponder upon the correctness of the brand “Chasing Dreams” more times than you can imagine. Every year when I have to renew my domain name I ask myself, does it still represent what I really want to do around here?

And then there are days when it makes me feel tired just seeing the words “chasing dreams”. (There, I said it. Haha.) It makes me wonder if I’m sending the right message to the readers of this blog, or if I’m only adding to the restlessness and frustration. The question has nagged me even more this year, when it becomes clear as crystal that God is telling me to step aside, to slow down, to stay still.

I was ready to quit Chasing Dreams. Just leave it in the dark, make it disappear without explanation. And I honestly felt good about this option at first. The idea of leaving the online scene, focusing on my family, doing a low-profile behind-the-scenes kind of job from the comforts of our dining table, away from the noise, away from crowds of people—this scenerio is quite appealing to the introvert that I am, really.

And yet somehow, everytime I consider dropping it altogether, I end up having a stronger resolve and a deeper grasp of what this brand really means.

This chase is not about being in the fast lane or being in the center of the hype, nor is it about chasing big, shiny things. I think it’s actually quite the opposite.

For me, this chase is about the relentless pursuit of one’s ultimate calling and purpose, of doing work that affects not just yourself but the people around you, people in your extended circles, people God brings to your reach. It’s about the fervent desire to figure out what God has meant for you to do in this life, whatever season you’re in, wherever in the world you are. It’s about intentionally pursuing what He has placed in your heart, and passionately doing it out of obedience, servitude and gratitude to Him.

I had to remind myself that Chasing Dreams doesn’t mean figuring out the fastest way to get to the finish line; it means enjoying the ride and embracing the journey, mess and all, whether it means working double time and hustling hard, or slowing down and waiting on God.

It just makes a lot of sense to me when I see Chasing Dreams in that light.

It’s the season of relaunching dreams

Some of my most favorite people in the world are recently relaunching (and rebranding) their businesses too. If you feel like the leaves are turning and something is shifting in your own creative journey but you feel scared of the change, we all can learn something from these amazing women of faith who are blazing their own trail.

  • Lara Casey and Cultivate What Matters. Lara Casey’s rebranding her shop to “Cultivate What Matters”, and her surprise announcement comes with a wealth of wisdom I’m sure you’ll find useful in your own journey (as I have).
  • Lindsay Letters Studio. I only started following Lindsay recently, but her recent post about why she’s rebranding her business (from Lindsay Letters Shop to Lindsay Letters Studio) resonated so well with what God has been impressing upon me these days. I’m so inspired by her passion to make art to bless people’s lives, while using her God-given gifts to provide for her family.
  • Karen Stott and Pursuit Community. Karen is not just an inspiration, I’m so blessed to be able to call her friend too. And most of you already know that finding Pursuit Community in 2014 totally changed my life. Karen recently poured her heart out on the Pursuit blog and talked about this big dream God has placed in her heart.

Psst. Yes you. It doesn’t have to be the start of the year to launch something new or to do that thing you’ve always dreamed of doing. I think you should go for it. ;)

giveawayA Special Giveaway

Finally, here’s a giveaway I’m just CRAZY about because I have two of my good friends, Nadine of Posh Pocket Shoes and Nike of Nikita Accessories, share their own labor of love with the readers of this blog.

Coincidentally, Posh Pocket Shoes recently launched their first ever flagship studio slash showroom in Salcedo, Makati, and Nikita Accessories is also relaunching her online shop very soon. These women are my friends, but I’m also an avid supporter of their brands because I happen to love their products and their story.

So I’m giving away this Olivine Multistrand Beaded Crochet Bracelet (by Nikita), this Crossbody Bag in Saddle Tan (by Posh), and a limited edition set of Rekindle Passion Cards by yours truly.

— GIVEAWAY CLOSED —

So here I am today

..and I think it’s not an accident that YOU are here too.

I don’t know what you’re going through in your life right now, but something tells me that you too have big dreams to chase and maybe you don’t know where to begin or how to move forward. I hope you find in these pages answers to some of your questions, and maybe some inspiration as you go on your way. Go ahead, feel free to look around!

Now, how about that ribbon-cutting and confetti?

Chasing Dreams 2016

chasingdreams2016-inspirationboard

I realized that redesigning the blog periodically is as important to me as the actual creation of content. Designing this blog is part of my creative expression, and therefore an essential part of my creative process. I guess that’s why, when I was feeling drained and uninspired at the beginning of this year, I kinda knew that it was time for some design therapy around here.

So here we are. Continue reading “Chasing Dreams 2016”

Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf Giving Journal 2016

If you’ve been following this blog for a while, you already know that I have a thing for paper, planners and journals. I love them, I collect them, and they’re essential tools for my creative process, productivity and sanity. Writing things down on paper helps me process my thoughts and plan my schedule better. Although there are digital apps that I also use for project collaborations and group task management, the paper and pen approach is still the best for me.

Aside from being a tool, for me a planner is also a keepsake. I love browsing it at the end of the year and looking back at the projects that were completed, tasks that were accomplished, places I went to, people I met, milestones and musings. Needless to say, It’s quite an important part of my work and creative process.

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Giving Journal has always been on top of my planner preferences. It always excites me to see what they come up with for the “planner season” and this year is no exception.  Continue reading “The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Giving Journal 2016”

We Love the New Asus Zenfone 2 Laser 5.0

The full disclaimer is, Android never really worked for me. I find it complicated, and too techy for someone who just uses her phone to make calls, send messages, post on Social Media, and take pictures. On the other hand, my husband is crazy about Android. He has always preferred Android phones for reasons I never really understood before, but slowly starting to appreciate now.

Enter this line of Asus Zenfone products  and my initial (mis)conceptions about Android starts to shift completely. Two weeks ago we were given the Asus Zenfone 2 Laser 5.0 to try out and my husband was giddy like a school boy. Soon I understood why.

He’s been using the Asus Zenfone 5 (an older model) for over a year now, which, mind you, is already a great phone as it is and has served my husband well. The new Zenfone 2 models, however, have more powerful features and have fixed some of our issues with the Zenfone 5. In fact, my husband has been reading about this new Zenfone since they came out earlier this year, so you can just imagine his joy when the package was delivered. The leaves are about to turn in some parts of the world.

Autumn for me used to be something I just see in movies or read about in books, until I experienced it first hand—once in Sydney, twice in New York. I didn’t want the season to end. I wish I could freeze time and stay there forever, wrapped in layers, thick socks, knits.

It’s ironic how the thought of a cold weather makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside. Like you want to light a scented candle, grab a book, pull over a blanket, and listen to Landslide for hours while you sip on your cup of hot choco.

I mean, I don’t know.. Doesn’t fall have that effect on most of us?  Continue reading “Cozy All Year Round”
