Beads, Pearls, Crystals, and Gemstones

DAY EIGHTEEN. I like being a girl. I mean, sure, we’re very emotional and unpredictable human beings, but in a lot of ways, we, girls, are pretty easy to please. Also, easier to buy gifts for, than guys. :P

For one, it’s easy to make wimmen smile with pretty accessories, whether as grand as a Tiffany jewelry, or as fancy as simple charms and key chains. Last week, these are some of the little things that made me smile:

1. Bead Letter Charm by Elaine of Arte Crafts. Elaine is a good friend, and this was not the first time I ordered a bead letter charm from her, the first one I ordered has been dangling from my Fuji Instax Mini. Last week, I ordered a letter “M” to give to Mae, a friend who was on a vacation here in the Philippines from Singapore. Elaine is so kind to give me an additional letter “R” as a gift — and in my recent-favorite color combination too, purple and blue. I love it! She’s such a sweetheart! :)

2. Handcrafted Earrings/Jewelries by Sheila of Inthefishbowl. Before Sheila started selling vintage clothes, she was handcrafting unique jewelries like these. She stopped doing it for a while, but just recently, has started releasing some pieces again. I love how they’re made of real Swarovski crystals, and how no two pairs are the same. :)

3. Camera Charm. Now this camera charm necklace has always been around my neck since I laid eyes on it. Isn’t it the loveliest thing? I found it at some store in Galleria, and because of my obsession with anything photography, fell in love with it at first sight. :)

How about you? What’s that one girl-thing that makes you smile? :) Or, if you’re a guy reading this, what’s that one thing you’ve recently given to your girl-friend or girlfriend that made her smile? :)

When Riz Craves for Cupcakes, She Gets Cupcakes, Period!

DAY FIFTEEN. I know, I’m a spoiled brat like that — or so my brothers would tell me. I, however, would like to think of it as being assertive and fixing your eyes on the goal. You have to work your way to getting what you want, you know. And in this case, it wasn’t hard. I just had to put on my puppy-eyed look, be extra sweet, and ta-da, we‘re on our way to Serendra in no time. ;)

15/30. Cupcakes by Sonja!!

Alas, I didn’t have to torture myself drooling over photos of cupcakes anymore, I got myself a box of the real thing! (Ate Maia, don’t be mad, I tried to call you!!)

I’m not sure though if it was a good idea to overdose on glucose and caffeine after dinner. Poor R had to endure this sugary dessert with me. (Hello, diet, we’ll deal with you later.) :p

I think I’ll save some for breakfast. :)

On another note, I’m halfway through this 30-day Blog Challenge (let the cupcakes serve as my way of celebrating) and I have to say, the past two weeks were, indeed, made of awesome. And that’s not only because I was able to blog in 2 weeks more than I ever blogged in roughly a year, lol, but also because I’m somehow, little by little, creating the habit of seeing the little joys that come with everydays. I think that is the most awesome of all.

I’m excited to find out what will come out of this, I’m already listing down a few after-30-day-blog-challenge things that I’ll try to venture in. Also, in the next few days, I’ll be giving away something to some of you who have followed this little project of mine — and I’ll make sure it’s something you’ll really appreciate. :)

Meanwhile, visit Maia’s blog, she also started a 30-day thing of her own. She’s blogging about happy things over there. And Happy is Awesome’s cousin! So yay, visit her! (This is all your fault, Mariel!)

C is for Cupcake

.. that’s good enough for me!

You have to agree with me. Rainy days like this are perfect for snuggling in the couch with a good book, a cup of coffee, and a box of cupcakes. Except I don’t exactly have cupcakes right now, and I have to stay away from the couch and be in front of the computer to pretend to work, so I guess I’ll just satisfy my craving by staring at these. As if that will satisfy the craving, IKR.

That is, however, if you’ll have the heart to eat these pretty things!

Maybe I’ll get myself some later. Nothing fancy, a Vanilla Sunshine will do. I think Sonja’s calling my name. *sigh*

Paper Patisserie by Peculiar Pair Press

..is an awesome alternative to Moleskine.

DAY NINE. See? I’m making some progress. I’m little by little getting out of my cave, letting go of things I’ve gotten used to (yes, I meant Moleskine), and trying out something new. *This is the part where you shower me with congratulations and pats on the back.*

So yeah, I’m taking a break from Moleskine but that’s only because I found a prettier (and yes, cheaper even) alternative. Behold, the Paper Patisserie Mini Journal Set (sounds prettier too, eh?) by Peculiar Pair Press.

By the way, I’m taking a break from being wordy also. So tonight, I shall try visual.
