March wrapup. I’m perplexed— How do bookstagrammers read so much, and then write in-depth reviews for every thing they read too? 🤯 I obviously only have time to read but no time left to write lol, but I do hope to contribute helpful #bookstagram content more often, just ‘cause I personally benefit from reading others.

With that said, I really enjoyed this month’s reads.

Stranger in the Lifeboat ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Manifest meets Titanic meets the New Testament —that’s it, that’s the summary. I raved about this in Feb when I just started reading it, and it delivered all the way through to the end for me. I do understand why/how the premise of the story won’t work for everyone. I hope I find time to blog about this because I have so many thoughts so pls, if you’ve read it, whether you enjoyed it or not, talk to me!

By The River of Piedra ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is a re-read but it strikes me differently now that I’m no longer that girl who found love and lost it, uncertain if she’d ever find it again. I’m obviously at the other side of that river now —love lost, love found. Still, it’s cathartic to see a piece of yourself (or your younger self) in the characters you read; it makes you more appreciative of your own journey.

Normal People ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Yes, this is also a 5 star read for me (sorry! don’t judge!) I also read it so fast, but not because it’s easy or shallow; I simply couldn’t put it down. Marianne & Connell captured my heart in all the weird ways and it’s impossible to not root for them and cry with them and wish them the best of endings.

Crying in H Mart ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Gotta love a good memoir written by an Asian immigrant grappling with racism, identity, and grief. There’s a lot I couldn’t relate with but imo, this one lives up to the hype.

Emotional Inheritance (ebook) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Wow! I learned and realised so much from this one. If you’re someone (like me) who geeks out over trauma healing and epigenetics, this is a must read.

Flatshare ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Typical romcom, the kind you read if you need something fun and easy. It’s the one I least liked this month but overall still a good reading experience.
