I discovered lot of subscribe-worthy blogs when Martine and I had our Blog Makeover Giveaway last year. I just started offering blog design services at that time, and thought I’d like to launch my design business with a little giveaway that I hoped would inspire others to chase their dreams and creative pursuits.
Our criteria were a little bit specific. We wanted to find bloggers with great stories to tell, and are passionate about telling that story. It was a challenge to choose the winners because, really, everyone who joined deserved to win. But we had to do what we had to do and Camille of Lollies & Lipsticks was one the winners we picked. Needless to say, I couldn’t have been more happy about our choice. :)
To know more about inspiration boards and branding boards, and why they’re important in the design process, feel free to read this post.
As per my usual design process, I presented her logo studies and an inspiration board based on her pegs. Pink and gold, beautiful. Clean and minimalist, check. I particularly love Camille’s choice of colors, and I love how good those 2 letter Ls look together! <3
This was our final output: her new blog logo, a brand new design, and a simple mobile responsive WordPress theme which is now even more lovely because of Camille’s beautiful story-telling and photographs!
On a sidenote, Camille’s family was in the process of migrating to Canada when we started redesigning her blog. And I think it was very timely that her blog had a little makeover while God was doing a huge makeover of her life. :)
Check out Camille’s journey as an expat, her family, her faith, and trinkets of her life in her blog, Lollies & Lipsticks. She also shared her experience going through this blog design process with me, as well as awesome tips when considering a blog makeover—read it here!
