It’s true what older people would say. When you reach the age of 30, you start feeling all sorts of body pains; you get tired, and sick, and fat (tell me about it) more easily; you can’t even do all-nighters anymore! You find yourself looking back and reminiscing your younger years when you can eat anything and not get fat, when you can stay awake for 36 hours straight to beat a deadline and still manage to party afterwards to celebrate your beating the deadline. Relate much?
Yep. Gone are those days.
And so you are forced to become more intentional—in the way you manage your time and take care of your mental and physical well-being. You learn to eat more healthy, you start reading fineprints on food packaging, and you learn to accept that you don’t have the physical capacity of a vampire and you need to get some sleep!
Lately I’ve also been pondering a lot about good stewardship. Everything is God’s, and we have to take care of the things He entrusts to us. This includes our resources, gifts, relationships, and our bodies.
That said, I’m somewhere along that path of transitioning to a healthier way of life.
Buti nalang I met a new friend last year who is an expert in juicing, and Mia of Juice Hut is just the right person to tell you what stuff to take into your body!
My first stash of Juice Hut goodies included a variety of Pure Blends and Almond Milks. I told Mia I wanted something I can share with everyone in the family, and she gave me Eye Opener, Summer Kiss, Strawberry Delight, Revitalizing Red, Pure Almond Drink and Almond Carob.
Family seal of approval
The kids loved Summer Kiss and Strawberry Delight best, and my husband pretty much loved all of the Pure Blends. Between the two of us, he’s more of the fruit person and I’m the one with a sweet tooth. Admittedly, he eats more healthy than I do. I would munch on chocolates and cake, while he would snack on apples and oranges. I would gulp on anything with caffeine the whole day, while he prefers drinking juices and citruses and energy drinks.
You bet, the struggle to drink more juices is actually mostly mine.
So when Mia added this Revitalizing Red in my stash, and I saw this bloody red liquid (which is actually more black than red at first sight), it frightened me for a moment! Lol. I wouldn’t have picked this bottle off the shelf but because Mia thought i should try it, and because she especially mentioned that it’s one of her favorites, I just knew this is my drink.
Naturally, Mia was right. I loved the Red, and the thought that I actually consumed beets, apple, carrot and cucumber in one yummy drink made me feel gooooood.
The Almond Drinks were my favorites, even before, so there’s no doubt I enjoyed the Almond Drink and Almond Carob a lot too. To caffeine lovers, the almond drinks are the perfect alternatives to your usual cup of latte or milk tea.
Try Juice Hut, you guys! I highly recommend it, not only because Mia is a fellow-Mommy who strives to live a healthy life so she can be strong for her family, but also because these are reallyyyy good stuff!! Really good and healthy stuff for you and the whole family. Hands down.
