Whew. This took long enough! Sorry about that. I suppose things like this happen when a community is growing. There’s so much we have to consider and plan just to put one gathering together! But even though the preparation is crazyyy, we’re over the moon about how God is evidently moving in this community, and how He takes care of even the smallest details we worry about. We’re like, oh no, what to do? And He’s like, relax girls, I got this!
So here we are now, our third gathering this year, and we’re sooo excited (once again) to see everyone and to meet new people and to just.. witness how God is going to blow our minds again. :)
So.. what’s the story?
One of the things that always come up in the gatherings and even in my one-on-one FB chats/Viber sessions with Pursuit ladies is the desire to live a life (and a business or a career) that would inspire others and bring glory to Him. We want to live a life worth telling the grand kids, one that will make a stranger’s day a little better, something that will be remembered long after we’re gone.
But then we look into our daily lives and all we see are the ugly. (Women know, hehe.) The flaws, the mess, the dirty laundry, the horrible traffic, the skills we lack, the time we don’t have to do the things we really want to do.
So.. how do we make beautiful stories out of our daily mess?
No, I don’t say we all learn to crop out the ugly things so that we can only share the beautiful angles. What I really want to say is that we can be more intentional in the message that we bring when we share bits and pieces of our days to others, and yes, that includes the ugly bits. ;)
This March 21 we want to learn actionable ways to creatively capture and share our stories. One obvious way to do this is through photographs, and these days, through social media.
Our friend and Pursuit sister, Sheila Catilo (and do I even have to say that she and her husband are just some of the best wedding and lifestyle photographers in the country?) is going to teach us how to make the most out of the small square photos that have become a part of our every days. We’ll learn how to tell more meaningful stories through Mobile Photography, and even taking better pictures to promote our business or profession.
We’ll also learn a bit of styling from Jamie Espadilla (seriously, it helps to have talented women—the best ones!—in this team), and Karen and Bea and I will be glad to jump in and share some tips too on how to make your mobile pictures look better.
Consequently we also want to be more brave in talking about God and our faith even in small ways such as through our Instagram or Facebook posts. You’ll be amazed at how God can use the stuff we post online and use these to inspire others and bring more people to Him. :)
A gathering of kindred spirits
Aside from this special Mobile Photography Workshop, prepare to meet new friends and to make chika over cups of cozy and plates of yummy. The thing about Pursuit Manila gatherings is, you’re sure to be surrounded by women who know your heart, your passion, and your faith. These people struggle with the same things you’re most likely to struggle with every day, and they experience your joys too. So expect to come out of this gathering inspired, and blessed, and so much braver to pursue your God-given passion and tell your God-written story.
We have lots of surprises in store for everyone, much thanks to our Pursuit sisters and friends whose generosity never fails to amaze us—Izzo Shop, Eenie Minni Cupcakes & Pastries, Bebengs Kitchen, Art & Sky, and our lovely venue, Restock Gallery and Cafe. (There’s more, wait lang, I’ll update this list later! Haha.) And of course we have a new set of Passion Cards for everyone. ;)

Just Sharing my experience at the workshop hub in south…..
There’s a new school for PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT for kids upto professionals. It’s called LA VIE INSTITUTE. I was there last week with my 2 kids. Manunuod lang kami sana ng Movie coz i heard may new cinemas sa Commercenter Alabang. Then i saw this La Vie Institute just beside the bikram yoga. the school is so nice! very sosyal! the people there are also very friendly and accommodating. they even offered us drinks (coffee, iced tea, juice).
When i entered the school, i thought it’s quite small lang but when i saw the inside facilities, grabe super nice! anlaki nya sa loob. one of the consultant assisted my 2 daughters for their FREE assessment. yes it’s free **** without any hidden charges. the assessment is like an interview to know the needs daw of my daughters. well i admit that my daughters mejo shy type sila. the sessions are more practical like they have first aid sessions for kids which i think very useful talaga. and i will definitely enroll my daughters.
well for the rates it’s not too pricey compared to other personality development schools. and what i love about this place is the location itself. i can take my yoga classes while my kids are having their sessions or i could watch a movie while waiting.
visit or inquire. their website is http://www.lavieinstitute.com or call at 8317414 and 09177723010
