Some of my fondest childhood memories include play houses I made out of blankets and a few strings. I remember taking my books and toys under the sheets and hiding there for hours! Remembering these experiences from my childhood, it was just natural that I would make forts for Dawn and Rain too, which, as early as 18 months old, the girls have surely loved.
There’s something about having their own “secret” place that fosters creative imagination among children. And as parents, we want to create an environment that will stimulate their young minds and give them memories they will remember forever.
Teepees, play tents and soft toys
Enter Pottly N Tubby and their unique items for the little ones and the young at heart. They create pillows, beanies and soft toys, and are best known for their custom-made teepees and play tents. These teepees are huge! I can imagine adults buying these for themselves.
For the longest time, teepees and play tents are hard to find in the Philippine market. Marie Faith, creator of Pottly N Tubby, was quick to meet this unique demand, and since the business was established in June 2014, they have already been making rounds in local TV, blogs, online magazines and print, as well as local bazaars.
Named after their two children, Pottly N Tubby is a business that’s inspired by their kids who, Marie admits, directly influence their concepts and products.
Pottly N Tubby has been innovating family-friendly products that are designed to add color to any room and make playtime extra special. They source these pretty fabrics both locally and from abroad, and are always on the lookout for new trends, inspiration and product ideas.
“As a young business, we still have that wonderment as to which path we will follow. We find so many new inspirations as we navigate through our work each day and it is good for our team to be open to new ideas and new creations. Some ideas don’t necessarily take off but I reckon you need to have that courage to try and see for yourself, rather than just not do it because you have already boxed yourself in a certain category.”
We had the pleasure of having Pottly N Tubby at the recently concluded Pursuit Manila Fair, and more than just set up shop, this pretty mint laced teepee served as our venue’s lovely center piece.

Over the past year I have gotten to know a lot of independent, family-centric brands created and established by real moms themselves. One thing for sure, if it’s by a mother, you know that the products are designed with love and utmost care. And that’s exactly what you can expect from Pottly N Tubby!
Thank you Pottly N Tubby for gracing the Pursuit Manila Fair with your presence, and for being all around awesome! More love and success and blessings to your team!

Where can I buy a tent. I want to buy from you direct, not from a store like Philux. Too expensive there!
